I left the cabin and then when I returned I could not open the cabin AGAIN. I told her to make the front gate aware of the issues with this cabin also. I found the housekeeper who was able to unlock the door.

How dangerous, especially if there was an emergency and/or fire. I CRAWLED MY 6'3 FRAME THROUGH THE WINDOW. Finally I noticed the window had no screen and I was able to open it about 24 inches. All of the phone information was inside my car. I knocked on the glass window attempting to get help from someone outside. I struggled and struggled to open the door. However, when I attempted to exit this cabin, the door would not open. The door opened easily and the cabin looked very nice. After back and forth with this employee, I was given a key to cabin #29. Then why rent this cabin if you are already aware of the situation? One employee was extremely rude. When they contacted Housekeeping, I heard the housekeeper state on the radio, that she was having issues opening the door. I then walked to the front gate and made the two employees aware of the problem. I stood there for 20 minutes while he tried to get someone on the phone. I asked him if he would call the front gate and make them aware that the door would not open. After several minutes, I walked to the cafe and explained the situation to the employee. I attempted to open the door with the key and it would not open. After driving three and a half hours, I arrived and was given the key to cabin #28. I attempted to stay at Sawmill Resort on Sunday, August 9. Thanks for a fun weekend and we will be back again someday soon ! … Also, we took our dog with us and there were tons of other dogs too. It’s very active and pool area can be quite crowded. If you want a laidback quiet private campground this is probably not the right place. If you are looking for a party scene and also some nature this is the place to go. Everyone was friendly and we didn’t have any bad experience with any other guests. We didn’t feel like anyone was being overly sexual or aggressive while walking around naked.

The park is clothing optional, but in a very casual free way. Mostly we kept to ourselves, met a few other married couples and had fun socializing by the pool and walking around naked in the park (after several margaritas). It is a campground so don’t expect a 5 star resort. Also, no paper towels in the bathrooms and no door to the building so lots of bugs in the bathroom at night. Also, no doors or curtains on the shower stalls which wasn’t a big deal but would’ve been nice. Wish the showers had hooks for hanging towel toiletries etc.

Nice front porch overlooking the pond/lake. They are closer to the pool, but would be nice to have. We might get a premium cabin next time with private bathroom and kitchenette. No private bathroom as this is a standard. We will plan to bring more even food next time to eat at the cabin. After a few drinks and hours of dancing the second night, I didn’t notice as much.

The cabin had a full size bed, which was way too soft for us, didn’t sleep well the first night. It’s in the residential area of the campground and it seemed to be quieter since it’s further away from the music at the pool. It’s a big campground and lots of amenities campsites etc. They had tents all over to keep cool on the sun. Pool was big and plenty of seating around. Wish breakfast was served later, I love a good Sunday Brunch and it stops at 11am. We brought our own too so we only ate at the Bar once or twice. We didn’t love the food at the bar, but it was okay. There wasn’t a huge crowd dancing but we made our own fun. But we really enjoyed the DJ at the pool party Saturday night. Unfortunately a lot of the facilities were still closed, once again due to covid. We are both early 30’s and we’re amongst the younger guests there but there was enough of a mixed crowd of ages that we didn’t feel uncomfortable. We love nature and have been missing dancing (with the clubs being closed due to covid) and thought this would be a nice mix of the two. My husband and I went camping here this past weekend.
